David Azoulay is a French Lawyer and the managing attorney of the Geneva office of the Center for International Environmental Law (CIEL). David manages CIEL’s nanotechnology project active at EU and global level, and coordinates the IPEN nano working group, a working network of over 50 NGOs from 5 continents addressing nanotechnologies related issues at global level. David also chairs the NGO delegation to the OECD Working Party on Manufactured nanomaterials.

Before that, David had assisted in the transposition of the European agricultural biotech regulation into French law for a French NGO, worked several years in the Environment department of the Paris office of a major international law firm (Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer) and coordinated, Friends of the Earth Europe’s network on REACH implementation.
