David Lewis is professor of social policy and development at the London School of Economics and Political Science. An anthropologist by training, his books include 'Bangladesh: Politics, Economy and Civil Society' (Cambridge, 2011), Popular Representations of Development (edited with M. Woolcock and D. Rodgers, Routledge 2014), and 'Non-Governmental Organizations, Management and Development' (Routledge 2014).
