Matt has been a CNS graduate fellow since 2011. He is a PhD student in the Materials Department. Matt’s thesis work is in the area of intermolecular physics, where he focuses on studying the relationship between molecular structure and interfacial behavior. Matt received his bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering with a minor in Business Administration from North Carolina State University. At CNS, he is part of Rich Appelbaum’s Globalization research group, where he examines the development of nanotechnology in emerging economies with a focus on China and Mexico.
