Indy Hurt was a CNS Graduate Fellow in 2008. She is a PhD candidate in the Department of Geography, and she grew up in Orange County, CA. Her research utilizes behavioral spatial epidemiology to investigate aspects of risk and the spread of tuberculosis in Kenya. She has a masters in geographic information systems from the University of Redlands, and a Bachelor's degree in geography from UCLA. Indy has also served as the Graduate Student Association Vice President of Academic Affairs, along with a number of committees within her home department. As your new Graduate Division Academic Peer, she hopes to get you connected with the resources and information necessary to navigate the academic landscape here on campus and beyond.
