Sergio Cardenas
Sergio was a CNS-INSET Summer Intern in 2011. After completing his education at College of the Canyons, Sergio transfered to the University of California, San Diego in the fall of 2011 to pursue a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry. Working with CNS fellow Roger Eardley-Pryor and Professor Patrick McCray in IRG 1, Sergio studied the environmental health and safety (EHS) issues of nanotechnology. His research focused on who advocates for EHS research, where current laws pertaining to nanotechnology’s EHS implications stand in California, and how they got there.
