Simone Jackson graduated from Allan Hancock College with Associate Degrees in several disciplines including physics, chemistry, and mathematics. She transferred to San Jose State University to pursue Bachelor’s Degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Mathematics. As an intern with INSET, she worked with CNS Graduate Fellow Christine Shearer and Professor Barbara Herr Harthorn in IRG 3 collecting data about nanotechnology companies in California, to identify California’s place in nanotechnology in the global context.
