Nanotech in China - A Challenge for the US?

Dr. Richard P. Appelbaum, a co-Principal Investigator with the Center for Nanotechnology in Society at UC Santa Barbara, studies how technology trickles out into the world to transform lives. Dr. Appelbaum is currently looking at China’s investment in nanotechnology, and he testified at a Congressional hearing earlier this year about how that might affect industries and workers in the United States. “We won’t get very far by blaming China for our failures,” Dr. Appelbaum says. “I think we have to get our own house in order.” …READ MORE
