McCray named Charles A. Lindbergh Chair in Aerospace History at Smithsonian Air and Space Museum

Historian and CNS PI W. Patrick McCray, has been named the 2015-16 Charles A. Lindbergh Chair in Aerospace History at the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum. It is their most prestigious fellowship and will support his project, "Building Collaborative Machines: Artists, Engineers, and Scientists through the Apollo Era." McCray's previous book, The Visioneers: How a Group of Elite Scientists Pursued Space Technologies, Nanotechnologies, and a Limitless Future, tells the story of scientists that popularized and advanced speculative technologies in the late twentieth century.
