Summer Grey was a CNS Graduate Fellow from 2008 to 2010. As a Ph.D. student in Sociology, Summer worked closely with Patrick McCray on developing a more historicized understanding of interdisciplinary approaches to nanoscale research.  Summer project on nanoscale research communities and interdisciplinarity received additional support from the Societal and Ethical Issues (SEI) board at the National Nanotechnology Infrastructure Network (NNIN) and the Center for Biological and Environmental Nanotechnology (CBEN) at Rice University. Prior to her work as a Graduate Fellow, Summer earned a bachelor's degree in Science, Technology and Society (STS) from Pomona College.
