Dr. Aida Ponce Del Castillo works at the Research Department at the European Trade Union Institute (Brussels, Belgium). Appointed in 2013, she is in charge of the occupational health and safety, working conditions Unit. She is actively involved in research on nanotechnologies, with a specific interest for regulatory aspects. She is member of different working groups within European regulatory bodies and international organizations such as the OECD, WHO and UNEP.

Trained as a lawyer, she holds a Master's degree in Bioethics and obtained her European Doctorate in Law, focusing on human genetics, at the Universities of Valencia and Bonn.
